词根精讲

词根lect来源于拉丁文legere一词，表示“说话；读（speak ; read）”之意。单词read经过辅音变异（r和l近似；d和ct近似）和元音通假（ea和e替换）的过程，可以变成lect的形式。讲话和朗读归根结底，都是读的一种形式，通过有声的语言来表达思想。比如lecture就是“演讲；讲座”之意，那么演讲者可以用lecturer来表示，还可以是大学里专职给学生讲课的讲师。由于辅音的音变规律，该词根可以写成leg的形式（ct和g发音近似）。比如legend就是“传说；传奇”之意，它是一代一代的祖先口口相传的轶事和典故。2007年由威尔斯密斯主演的经典科幻电影《我是传奇》（Iam Legend）就再现了人类寻求战胜变异病毒的传奇故事。
