Hi,everyone!My name is Sara.I'm starting this blog to introduce SmallTown,USA.It's one of my favorite places because I lives here.First,I'lltell you a little about me.I live in a Cabin with my older brotherMax.I'm a high school student and I love to write!I like writingstories best.But I write for our town newspaper,too.Oh,Max is home.Iwill write more later!

Well friends,we just met Sara.And where is Sara from?

Sara is from a place called Small Town,USA.And that's one of her favorite places,because she lives there.

She is going to introduce us to Small Town through her blog.So we'll get to know Sara and this special place where she lives.

And the special key word right there,Andrea.Introduce!

Let's look at it together.It is:introduce...introduce...Now when you introduce a person,you usually share their name and a little bit about them.You can introduce someone.Eearlier I introdued all of you to Gabe,our new teacher.

And so you can also introduce yourself.If you want to introduce yourself,then that means you tell others about yourself.Maybe things that they do not know yet.

Well Gabe,why don't you take a minute to introduce yourself?

Well,we don't have a minute.But I grew up in Taiwan,and I'm enjoying be an English teacher right now.

You can introduce a person,and you can also introduce a place.That was Sara is doing.We also find out that Sara writes for their town newspaper.Andthat's another key word:newspaper...newspaper...A newspaper issomething that you read.There are many different stories in thenewspaper.Usually you'll find out what is new at a place.

That's right.Or what is happening in the world.Usually you can read about these things in a newspaper.

And this key word is also in the answer to today's mission.The question is;What does Sara write?

What does Sara write?She likes writing stories,and she writes for the Town Newspaper.

French food?That sounds like something that I would like,too.Now Andrea,how is Max's feeling at the beginning of this conversation?

Well,Max is OK.But he says he is so tired of cooking omelets.He dosen't want to cook omelets any more.

Well,he might not want to cook omelets,but we need to talk about omelets,becausethat's one of our key wordsmelet...omelet...An omelet is a meal thatis made with eggs and other things.Andrea,what is someting that you might put in an omelet?

Woo...I like to put cheese in an omelet.I also like to add many different vegetables to the eggs to make an omelet.

OK.So there are many different kinds of things you can put into anomelet and then,they taste delicious.Well let's look at this next keyword,Sara says that Max is a great cook...cook...A cook is someone whocooks food or someone who makes food,especially at a restaurant.

Well,Max is a good cook,that is his job.Now if you eating food thatsomeone made for you,and you like it.You can tell them:You are a goodcook.

But,might sure you don't say:"You are a good cooker".No,you want to say:"You are a good cook".And Max is a good cook,and Thomas is a good teacher.Let's go liten to him right now.

Well,we meet another new friend.We meet Ben.And how does Max know Ben,Gabe?

Well,Max and Ben are best friends,so they probably know each other very well.

I think so.Well,Ben comes to visit Max and Sara in the cabin,but he doesn't knock.

He doesn't knock?Oh,that's a kind of roole,don't you think?

Well,that's true.So we are going to learn this key word.Itis:knock...knock...Now when you knock,you hit a door or a window withyour hand,but you're closed hand to make a sound.You usually knock on a door to let someone knows that you are there.

You want to let them know that you are there,and you would like to comein,and so you knock on the door.Now remember this:You don't say:"I willknock the door".No,you say:"I will knock on the door".

And Sara wishesthat Ben would knock on the door before he comes in.Well, our next keyword is the verb:fix...fix...Now if something is broken or if it has aproblem,and you want to make it better again,you have to fix it.
