Donald Trump has endorsed one of his long time critics, Andrew Cuomo, to be mayor of New York City.

The president said voters had no choice but to support Mr. Cuomo in Tuesday's election to stop the Democratic candidates Zohran Mamdani.

Mr. Trump has threatened to withhold millions of dollars in federal funds from New York City if Mr. Mamdani wins.
