《红楼梦》里，曹雪芹通过对“眼睛”的描写，令三个性格迥异的人物跃然纸上：

林黛玉：两弯似蹙非蹙笼烟眉，一双似喜非喜含情目

薛宝钗：脸若银盆，眼如水杏。



王熙凤：一双丹凤三角眼，两弯柳叶吊梢眉。

单单一双眼睛就可以表达一个人的内心世界，不同的眼型也能体现不同的人物性格。

亚洲人常见的四种眼型，用英语该怎么描写？

Phoenix Eyes 丹凤眼

They present a noble air and is a symbol of beauty. Mono-lidded with long and narrow tails.

自带高贵气场，是古典美的象征。单眼皮，眼尾狭长微挑。

air n 神态

Peach Blossom Eyes 桃花眼

They look like petals of a peach blossom, and when laughing, look like crescent moons. Double-lidded and long with tails slightly tilting upwards.

形如桃花花瓣，笑时弯如新月。双眼皮，眼型修长，尾端轻轻上扬。

Almond Eyes 杏眼

Whoever has this type of eyes appear youthful, pure, delicate and naive. Roundish corner, fuller and not as long as the previous two types. Apricot Eyes are more common in men, while Almond eyes are bigger.

给人年轻、纯净、娇憨之感。眼角圆润，眼裂饱满，长度比前两种短。男性多见“杏核眼”，女性杏眼更显大而圆。

Willow Eyes 柳叶眼

These eyes have the temperament of Phoenix Eyes and the affection of Peach Blossom eyes. They are slightly thinner than Almond eyes, and have the likeness of a willow leaf.

兼具丹凤之清贵与桃花之含情。比杏眼略细，形似柳叶，柔中带俏。
