政治盟友被枪杀 特朗普下令降半旗

美国知名保守派活动人士、总统特朗普的政治盟友查理·柯克10日在犹他州奥勒姆市的犹他山谷大学演讲时遭枪击身亡，终年31岁。

Charlie Kirk, an American political activist and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, died after being shot in the neck on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.

演讲时遭枪击

枪击事件发生在当天中午12时10分左右。根据当地媒体发布的现场视频画面，枪击发生时，柯克身穿白色圆领衫，正坐在户外搭建的讲台中央，突然一声枪响，柯克用手捂住脖子，但未立即倒下，现场一片混乱，人们四散奔逃。

事发后约3小时，特朗普在社交媒体发文说柯克已经死亡，并向他的妻子和家人致以慰问。犹他州媒体稍早报道，犹他州众议院议长说，执法机构人员已向其报告柯克死讯。

The local Deseret News reported that Utah House Speaker Mike Schultz earlier said Kirk's death was confirmed to him by Utah law enforcement officials.

Footage shot by local KSL TV 5 showed crowds of people running from the university's courtyard, where Kirk, 31, was holding a speaking event when the shooting occurred.

特朗普下令全国降半旗

特朗普连发3条帖文下令全国降半旗志哀，直至14日傍晚6时。

"In honor of Charlie Kirk, a truly Great American Patriot, I am ordering all American Flags throughout the United States lowered to Half Mast until Sunday evening at 6 pm," US President Donald Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform after confirming the death of Kirk, a Trump ally.

嫌疑人已经落网

美国联邦调查局局长卡什·帕特尔当天傍晚在社交媒体发文说，枪杀柯克的嫌疑人已经落网。

犹他州州长斯潘塞·考克斯10日说，这是一起“政治暗杀”事件。

犹他州当局表示，枪手当时身着深色衣物，从校园内一处屋顶远距离开枪。

特朗普阵营大“网红”

柯克是当前美国非常活跃的政治活动人士。他是保守派非营利性组织“美国转折点”的联合创始人，也是特朗普“让美国再次伟大(MAGA)”支持者阵营最具影响力的“网红”之一。

柯克此次到访的犹他山谷大学，是其“证明我错了”巡回演讲的一站。根据活动设计，柯克邀请观众上台与他一起辩论政治理念。当地媒体报道说，此前该校有学生联名要求取消柯克的演讲活动。

Kirk was visiting the campus as part of his "Prove Me Wrong" event. The event included Kirk inviting people on stage from the audience to debate political ideals with him.
