浙江淳安县文化和广电旅游体育局5月1日发布通报，就网络反映当地一民宿以“蛇很多”等不实理由强制要求顾客退单一事作出回应。目前，涉事民宿因涉嫌违反相关法律法规已被立案调查，消费者已获得双倍客房订单价款赔付。

A bed-and-breakfast in Chun'an county, Zhejiang province, has been placed under investigation after forcing a customer to cancel a room reservation using false claims about "too many snakes", local authorities said on Friday.

通报显示，2026年4月30日，网络出现淳安县民宿以“酒店劝退预订客户声称蛇很多”等不实理由强制要求顾客退单的信息。淳安县文化和广电旅游体育局随即组建工作组赴现场核查处置。经县市场监督管理局现场调查，涉事民宿拒绝消费者正常入住的行为，涉嫌违反《中华人民共和国价格法》《明码标价和禁止价格欺诈规定》等法律法规，将依法进行立案调查。

The customer had booked a room at the B&B, but the host allegedly demanded the cancellation under the untrue pretext that the area was infested with snakes. The incident drew public attention after being shared online on Thursday.

In response, local tourism and market regulation authorities immediately set up a task force to investigate. Following an on-site inspection, market regulators found that the B&B's refusal to honor the booking violated relevant pricing laws and national rules against price fraud. An official investigation has been launched.

同时，依据《淳安县星级旅游饭店消费纠纷赔偿指引》第三条“酒店违约取消客人预订的客房，客人可以选择要求酒店双倍返还客房订单价款”的规定，相关部门主动和客人取得联系，并通过政府资金池已赔付到位，切实保障消费者合法权益。

Meanwhile, under local consumer protection guidelines — which state that if a hotel cancels a guest's confirmed booking without valid reason, the guest may demand double the room rate — authorities proactively contacted the customer. Compensation was paid from a government fund, ensuring the consumer's rights were protected.

通报说，下一步，将联合相关部门在全县住宿行业开展全覆盖排查整治，畅通投诉举报渠道，依法从严查处强制退单、恶意涨价、虚假宣传等侵害游客权益行为，坚决维护淳安旅游市场秩序。
