Several bears have been caught on cameras sneaking into a fish farm in northeastern Japan's Iwate Prefecture. They were spotted on Monday and Tuesday helping themselves to the fish. No injuries have been reported.

The farm in Otsuchi town keeps about 150,000 young trout on its premises, measuring about 5 to 10 cm long. Security camera footage shows three bears appearing multiple times on Monday and Tuesday.

The facility's operator said the bears ate about 30 fish that had been left in a bucket after dying from the heat. He added that the size of the farm makes it difficult to take measures, but he will consider possible next steps.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in central Japan, a 16-year-old boy was attacked by a bear in Nakatsugawa City. Officials say the bear scratched his head and then back. But the injuries are not life threatening.

According to an NHK tally, 5 people have been killed and dozens have been injured in bear attacks in the past five months.
