阅兵领导小组办公室副主任、中央军委联合参谋部作战局少将副局长吴泽棵提到，这次阅兵是全面推进中国式现代化进入新征程的首次阅兵，是人民军队奋进建军百年的崭新亮相。

China's massive V-Day military parade, scheduled for Sept 3 in Tian'anmen Square, is meant to signal that the country upholds peace and will firmly defend international fairness and justice, a military official said Wednesday.

Wu Zeke, deputy director of the Office of the Leading Group for the Military Parade and a senior officer of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission (CMC), made the remarks at a press conference to outline preparations for the parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

阅兵活动按照阅兵式、分列式2个步骤进行，时长约70分钟。

目前，阅兵各项准备已基本完成，全体受阅官兵将以昂扬的精神状态接受党和人民检阅，共同迎接9月3日这个值得世界人民永远纪念的胜利之日。

Currently, all parade preparations have been basically completed, according to the military officer.

The parade will be the first of its kind after China embarked on its new journey to pursue Chinese modernization on all fronts, Wu said, adding that will showcase that under the leadership of the CPC, the country and the armed forces have grown strong, and the great spirit of the War of Resistance lives on.
