据英国《每日邮报》11日报道，因监狱爆满，英国政府近期推行“宽松司法”政策提前释放大量囚犯。

UK's Labour Party has freed over 26,000 criminals early – including hundreds of serious offenders who were handed sentences of more than a decade behind bars.

报道援引官方数据显示，2024年9月至2025年3月期间，共有超过2.6万名囚犯获释，其中包括248名因严重犯罪被判14年以上监禁的重刑犯。

For the first time it can be revealed that 248 convicts sentenced to 14 years or more have already been let out, despite the seriousness of their offending and the severity of their punishment.

按此速度推算，政策实施首年释放总人数或将突破4.5万。

反对党保守党司法事务发言人詹里克批评称，释放规模“令人震惊”，正是此类“软弱司法”导致英国社会法治感缺失。

Tory justice spokesman Robert Jenrick said: "The public are sick of soft justice."

"These shocking statistics explain why Britain feels lawless."

最新研究还表明，全欧洲39%的手机盗窃案发生在英国。
