8月9日，少林寺官方网站发布情况通报：近期，网上传言少林寺有30名僧人集体辞职，属不实言辞，望大家不信谣、不传谣。

The Shaolin Temple management office refuted rumors of mass resignation of monks in an online statement on Saturday, saying that these claims are false and unfounded.

Recent online rumors claimed that 30 monks from the temple had collectively resigned.

The management office urged the public not to believe or spread such unfounded rumors.

8月5日，据报道，自印乐法师接任少林寺住持以后，便开始了对少林寺的改革，颁布了多项新规，包括取消商业化运作、严格修行制度，以及加强衣禅劳动、限制外出等。

改革实施后，据传在短短一周内，已有30多名僧人及员工打包离职。

对于这场“离职潮” 和改革，舆论看法不一，有网友称赞这是刮骨疗毒能筛掉“假和尚”，也有人担忧少林寺年收入锐减难以维持运营。

8月6日下午，都市现场记者致电河南嵩山少林寺，工作人员表示：没听说有僧人或工作人员离职，具体情况并不清楚。

此前，少林寺管理处7月29日发布情况通报：依据《汉传佛教寺院住持任职办法》，经少林寺两序大众民主评议赞成，并履行有关程序，礼请印乐法师任少林寺住持。

Shi Yinle has been appointed the new abbot of the world-renowned Shaolin Temple in central China's Henan province, two days after former abbot Shi Yongxin was placed under investigation for alleged embezzlement and misconduct.

"In accordance with the regulations on the appointment of abbots of Chinese Buddhist temples, after democratic evaluation and approval by the Shaolin Temple and following the relevant procedures, Venerable Yinle was invited to be the abbot of Shaolin Temple," the temple said in a statement on July 29.

公开信息显示，印乐法师出生于1966年7月，1990年毕业于中国佛学院，毕业后在河南省佛教协会工作，后任河南省佛教协会副秘书长、副会长。2003年10月，受河南省佛教协会委派，印乐法师到洛阳白马寺主持工作，2005年11月任白马寺方丈。
