I had the opportunity to visit China during a university trip through USC (University of Southern California) and it was an incredible experience.

I spent time in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Each city had a completely unique vibe. Beijing was rich in history from the Forbidden City to the Great Wall, while Shanghai felt more modern and global. Shenzhen really surprised me because it's an incredibly fast-growing tech hub full of energy and innovation. What stood out most was the modern blend of tradition and progress happening everywhere.

Well, I was really surprised by how friendly and curious people were. Many locals were eager to practice English or just hear our impressions of China. Honestly, I think there's real warmth between ordinary people in every city I visited. I had meaningful conversations with students, shopkeepers, and artists. There's a mutual curiosity, and I feel like people genuinely wanted to connect beyond politics.

One moment that savored me was a long dinner with the Dean and the Chinese film students at our host university. We bonded over hours for our shared love of storytelling and tried all kinds of unique cuisine. It really showed me the power of human connection.
