暑期档酣战正急，据最新统计数据，有117部电影在今年暑期档上映，目前暑期档票房已超过43亿元。

熟悉追光动画的粉丝们，应该知道近期热映的动画电影《聊斋：兰若寺》改编自清代名家蒲松龄的《聊斋志异》。虽然原著中有491个故事，但影片《兰若寺》只是撷取了其中的五个故事，分别是《崂山道士》（The Master of Laoshan）、《莲花公主》（Princess Lotus）、《聂小倩》（Nie Xiaoqian）、《画皮》（Painted Skin）和《鲁公女》（Miss Lu），并巧妙地用蒲松龄担任“故事评委”的方式，串联起这五个故事。



这是一个脑洞大开的设定，在影片开头，蒲松龄作为一个胆子大到不怕鬼的书生，充满了文学创作的热情。当他歇脚兰若寺时，却被两个另类的“文学爱好者”——灵蟾上人和玄龟子——给带到一个充满奇异风情的井底，并被要求点评他俩讲的故事。这种让原著作者在电影里，对自己写作文本做“阅读理解”的方式，令人忍俊不禁。

In the animated film Curious Tales of a Temple, novelist Pu Songling unexpectedly falls into an abandoned well in an ancient temple where he meets two celestial beings — a frog and a turtle — each possessing supernatural powers and a passion for literature. Trapped, Pu is forced to serve as the arbiter of their creative rivalry, tasked with judging whose tales reign supreme.

As the two rivals each tell two stories, Pu rediscovers his passion and narrates the fifth himself. Interestingly, all five short stories were originally written by Pu in his classic Liaozhai Zhiyi (Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio) in the real world beyond the screen.

五个故事以不同的动画技术娓娓道来，譬如《崂山道士》采用毛毡风格，《画皮》灵感来源于宋代画作中的意境和留白技巧。每个故事既熟悉又新鲜，在大银幕上重现经典的鬼怪故事。



The first in the five stories is The Master of Laoshan, recounting a man's journey to the titular mountain, located in Qingdao, Shandong province, to learn magic from a powerful Taoist priest. Under the priest's guidance, he masters one spell: the ability to walk through walls. But when he attempts to demonstrate this power before his wife and neighbors, his skill fails him—leaving him to question whether his pursuit was worth the trouble.

In a nostalgic nod to the golden age of Chinese animation, The Master of Laoshan is rendered in wool-based stop-motion, with characters and sets crafted from wool-covered puppets and props. Painted Skin tells the story of a monstrous creature who disguises herself as a beautiful woman by wearing human skin, drawing artistic inspiration from paintings of the Song Dynasty (960–1279).



当国产片用最新的电影科技为传统文化和“志怪小说”注入独属于数字时代的活力时，好莱坞大片也在这个暑假纷至沓来。

Another big "star" who almost steals the spotlight from the flying alien superhero is his super-powered, red-cape-wearing pet, Krypto. The dog, brought to life through computer-generated imagery, is modeled on a 3D scan of the director's real-life pet, Ozu—named in tribute to the late Japanese film master Yasujiro Ozu.

Director James Gunn adopted Ozu when the dog was just eight months old, choosing the scrawny, skittish puppy from among some 60 rescue dogs confined to a single backyard. The pup's visible fear, he says, was what drew him in—a timidity that quickly vanished once Ozu settled in and seemed to take command of the household.



"它靠毁掉我所有东西来影响我的生活。我收养了这只糟糕的狗，它进来就啃坏我所有物品，还不让我摸它。它就这么富有松弛感地各种捣蛋：随意跑出去，浑身沾满泥巴，把狗狗不该做的坏事全做了。我当时想，幸好它没有超能力。就在那时我决定让它‘参演’电影。从那时起我开始创作剧本。这一切确实始于小津——我的狗激发了所有灵感。它不知道（它‘演’了《超人》这事儿），但它无处不在。”谈起小津的种种“恶劣”行径，导演的语调里倒是充满慈父般的宠溺。



"He influences my life by destroying all my things. I adopted this terrible dog, and he came in and chewed up all my stuff, and he wouldn't let me pet him. He was just casually being terrible: casually going outside, getting mud all over himself and doing all the bad things dogs shouldn't do," says Gunn, with a big smile.

"I thought, I'm glad he doesn't have superpowers. And that's when I put him in the movie. I just started writing the movie at that point. That was really the beginning — it was all spurred on by Ozu, who is my dog. He doesn't know it, but he's everywhere," he adds.
