A recent anti-fraud video by Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, humorously titled "The Most Absurd Request from the Boss", has gone viral across Chinese social media platforms, inspiring law enforcement agencies nationwide to collaborate with celebrities for public awareness campaigns.
Following the trend, Wuhan police in Hubei province recruited singer Richie Jen—a native of Jiangxia district, Wuhan—to promote anti-scam efforts. In the video, a police station director assigns officer Tang the seemingly impossible task of inviting Jen to participate. To everyone's surprise, she succeeds.

Jen, who has ancestral roots in Wuhan, delivers a playful yet impactful message: "It's an honor to join Wuhan police in fighting fraud. When facing scams, don't be 'Too Softhearted'! Stay alert to avoid losses—never blindly trust, click suspicious links, or transfer money. Or else, you'll be 'Drowning in the Sorrowful Pacific'! Let's work together to stay vigilant!" The puns cleverly reference his hit songs Too Softhearted (1996) and Sorrowful Pacific (1998), which catapulted him to fame.
