美国总统特朗普17日再次否认他与爱泼斯坦案有关联，就美国《华尔街日报》“特朗普致爱泼斯坦信件”报道表示，这是“假新闻”，信件系伪造，他将起诉这家“令人作呕的肮脏小报”。

US President Donald Trump lashed out Thursday at the Wall Street Journal for publishing a letter he supposedly sent to disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein, calling the note a fake.

He's now preparing a lawsuit against the New York-based newspaper, he said Thursday evening.

《华尔街日报》是新闻集团旗下报纸，该集团由鲁伯特·默多克掌管。特朗普在社交媒体上发表长帖写道，他和白宫发言人曾警告默多克及该报主编埃玛·塔克，所谓“特朗普致爱泼斯坦信件”纯属伪造，但塔克对此充耳不闻。

“《华尔街日报》仍坚持发表这篇虚假、恶意且构成诽谤的报道，特朗普总统即将对《华尔街日报》、新闻集团及鲁伯特·默多克先生提起诉讼。”特朗普在帖文中称，“默多克先生当时称他会处理此事，但他显然无权这么做。”

Trump quickly responded to the story on his Truth Social platform, saying that he had personally warned the Journal's owner, Rupert Murdoch, and its editor in chief, Emma Tucker, that the letter was "fake" before the report was published.

Trump called the story "false, malicious, and defamatory". "Mr Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously did not have the power to do so," he said.

特朗普还称，《华尔街日报》刊载此类“诽谤性谎言”，表明其已沦为“令人作呕的肮脏小报”。若爱泼斯坦案与他有关联，民主党人早就会曝光相关证据，“这些信息肯定不会尘封在档案里”，“这是假新闻的又一案例”。

He described the newspaper as a "Disgusting and Filthy Rag" saying that its writing defamatory lies like this shows their desperation to remain relevant.

"It certainly would not have sat in a file waiting for 'Trump' to have won three Elections. This is yet another example of fake news!"

爱泼斯坦与大量美国政商名流交往密切，因涉嫌性犯罪被捕后，于2019年8月死于狱中，被判定为“自杀”。特朗普去年竞选总统时曾承诺公布爱泼斯坦“客户名单”，揭露爱泼斯坦罪行及其死亡背后的真相。美国司法部和联邦调查局本月7日发布联合备忘录，认定不存在“客户名单”且不会发布更多爱泼斯坦案相关文件。这一结论在特朗普阵营内部引发质疑和不满，特朗普近期已多次就此发声。

Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019 in jail after he was arrested and charged with sex trafficking conspiracy, a death that was ruled a suicide via hanging, though many are skeptical of the claim.
