Sam's Club is facing consumer discontent over its product selection strategy, sparking online discussions. One product involved is the controversial Orion Choco Pie, which, as of Tuesday afternoon, was no longer searchable on the Sam's Club app. When contacted via Sam's national customer service hotline for the reason behind the removals, representatives acknowledged the online de-listings but stated that a specific cause was not currently available, nor had they received any official notification regarding the matter.
Sam's Club responded on Tuesday that it had noted social media discussions regarding product selection and would incorporate feedback into future curation strategies.
The company stated: "We've observed social media discussions about Sam's product selection. We sincerely appreciate members' constructive feedback. As a membership retailer, we remain committed to our 'Member First' principle - sourcing globally and co-developing quality products with suppliers while continuously refining offerings based on member input. Current feedback has been incorporated into future selection strategies, and we welcome ongoing suggestions."
