北京时间7月3日下午，葡萄牙男足国家队在官方社交媒体账号上发布消息，28岁的葡萄牙前锋迪奥戈·若塔与他26岁的弟弟因车祸去世。

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has died in a car crash, aged 28. The Portugal forward's brother André Silva also died in the accident, which took place in the Spanish province of Zamora.

葡萄牙国家队在公告中写道：“葡萄牙足协及整个葡萄牙足球界都对迪奥戈·若塔及其兄弟安德烈·若塔今日凌晨在西班牙的离世感到悲痛欲绝。迪奥戈·若塔不仅是一位杰出的球员，更是一位非凡的人，深受所有队友及对手尊重，他开朗乐观、极具感染力，是所在社区的楷模。”

The statement from the Portuguese Football Association said: "The Portuguese Football Federation and the entire Portuguese football community are completely devastated by the deaths of Diogo Jota and André Silva, this morning in Spain."

"Much more than just a fantastic player, who played almost 50 times for the National A Team, Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, respected by all his teammates and opponents, someone with an infectious joy and a reference in the community itself."

公告还表示，葡萄牙足协向若塔兄弟的家人及朋友，以及两人生前所效力的英超利物浦俱乐部和葡萄牙佩纳菲耶尔俱乐部致以最深的哀悼。葡萄牙足协已经向欧足联申请，在本周葡萄牙女足与西班牙女足的女足欧锦赛比赛开场前为两位逝者默哀。



在当地时间7月3日凌晨，若塔与26岁的弟弟在西班牙萨莫拉省的公路上发生的车祸，他们乘坐的汽车在事故后起火，导致二人均不幸遇难。

Jota and his brother died at about 00:30 am local time on Thursday.

Their car, a Lamborghini, left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another vehicle and then caught fire.

若塔1996年12月4日出生，出道于葡萄牙贡多马尔俱乐部青训。2016年夏天，他从葡萄牙帕索斯费雷拉队转会加盟西甲马德里竞技队，并先后在葡超波尔图队、英超狼队效力。2020年9月，若塔加盟英超劲旅利物浦队。过去5年，司职前锋的若塔为利物浦队在各项赛事出场182次，打入65球，并送出26次助攻。刚刚结束的2024至2025赛季，若塔随队夺得英超冠军。

若塔在2019年11月葡萄牙队与立陶宛队的欧锦赛预选赛上完成成年国家队首秀，他累计为葡萄牙国家队出场49次，打入14球、送出12次助攻。



值得一提的是，若塔的个人社交媒体账户显示，他在6月22日刚刚与相恋多年的女友完婚。他在发布多张婚礼现场照片的同时写道：“2025年6月22日，承诺到永远。”若塔与妻子育有三个孩子，最小的一个是去年出生的。



Jota's death comes weeks after he married Rute Cardoso while on vacation from a long season where he helped Liverpool win the Premier League title. On getting married, he wrote in a social media post, "Yes to forever." He leaves behind three children, the youngest born last year.
