当地时间23日，泰国国家反腐败委员会举行会议，与会人员一致决定对泰国总理佩通坦与柬埔寨前总理、现任参议院主席洪森通话内容展开进一步调查，以确定佩通坦是否严重违反道德准则。

The National Anti-Corruption Commission of Thailand reportedly resolved to investigate the ethics of Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra regarding her recent phone call with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.



柬埔寨和泰国媒体18日报道了一段佩通坦和洪森的通话录音，佩通坦在通话中请求洪森协助缓解两国边境的紧张局势。洪森随后在社交媒体上确认近期与佩通坦进行过通话。

Hun Sen confirmed in a social media post that he had recorded the 17-minute call on Jun 15. He said he wanted to avoid any misunderstandings and that he would give Thai authorities the complete audio file.

佩通坦随后举行新闻发布会，承认通话录音属实，但强调自己只是在试图解决两国边境争议。她还表示，通话属于私人性质且不应被泄露。

据泰国《国家报》19日报道，当天在与泰国军方领导人紧急会晤后，佩通坦在新闻发布会上表示：“我必须对所发生的事情道歉，因为我真的不知道谈话被录音了。”她向公众保证，泰国政府将与军队团结一致，捍卫泰国的领土完整。据泰国《曼谷邮报》19日报道，抗议者当天在泰国政府大楼附近聚集，要求佩通坦辞职。

Paetongtarn on Thursday apologised after the phone conversation was leaked. Paetongtarn said the call was made from her personal phone and she did not know the conversation would be recorded and made public. She said the government was ready to support the country's military in all ways.
