The Three Gorges Dam has brought us great benefits , but at the same time,varieties of problems continue to spring up. 三峡大坝在给我们带来巨大益处的同 时，各种问题也不断涌现出来。

For this reason, Premier Wen Jiabao called a cabinet meeting this week toaddress ongoing geological,social and environmental problems with thehydroelectric project.

I think the view is very conflicting. Absolutely the Three Gorges Damhas brought us great benefits. but the human being has destroyed the natural for a long time. nobody can change it.on one hand ,we should support the development for the soiety. on the other hand,we have to keep a clear mind to protect our environment. so I hope we are developing our realities we should do it in a range.

Every thing in the world has its own two sides, without exception, the Three Gorge Dam has both advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes we may think it's our friend, and at another time, we may think it's our foe. While we enjoy the benefits that it brings to us,we should bear the disasters that it gives us. i've just read a piece of news about the three gorges dam. an expert said compared with globle warming, the influence on climate made by the three gorges dam was trivial. he argued that those who detractedthe three gorges dam were not able to produce any proof to support their points of view.

he said the drought in the downstream region of the changjiangriver could be eased by discharges of water from the dam, an evidence that the dam could be used to improve weather condition rather than worsen the climate there.

one thing is certain:the climate change in that region is due in part to globle warming , in partto this man-made project. butto what degree has the damaffected the climate there?god knows.

what is of paramount importance now is to try to address geological ,social, and environmental problems as soon as possible to reduce damage to the locals there.

I think each coin has two sides just like the three Gorges dam. on the one hand, the three Gorges dam can adjust the flood. on the other hand ,it makes hundreds people become homeless.

This is not a simple question,in my opinion and in most people's opinion,this project bound to bring many benefits than we ever imagine,to some extent we damaged our environment which cause the serious problem like global warming,etc.but think about it,it is not only source .other conducts such as making appliances,cars,bulidings and factories even more add greenhouse emissions.i am confiendent that people are going to find ways to address those problems.

when I first read this news, i am very sad. We have got so much from nature. Animals are constrained to be in the zoo for the pleasure of mankind; almost every inch of the world space has been used or will be used by the human to build their homes orto do something ,which they can benefit from. Human want to conquer nature to lead a amazing life. In summer, it is cool. In winter, we would not feel cold; we build the three gorges dam to generate electricity. However, we do all these without considering of nature. so we have payed for what we have done. Drought,landslides, floods,andearthquakes have caused or might cause great damage to people. So let all of us do something for the nature to protect them. They are the part of the earth. They are equal to us. I can't more agree with 凯旋城. It is unnecessary to debate that the three gorges dam is friend or foe. what is of paramount importance now is to try to address geological ,social, and environmental problems as soon as possible to reduce damage to the locals there.
