| I'd rather die far away from my hometown in case my Mom is too sad. [1_01] |
| my hometown would discard me |
| I am from Kunming city Yunnan province, and I spent my 4-year-college life in Wuhan from which I would spend more than 30 hours home. And now, I work in Nanjing which is farther. Last winter I spent over 64 hours on the train on my way home. My girlfriend works in the same province but not the same city, I do not have any relatives in this city either, so I often feel lonely. I am sick and tired of beingapart with my girlfriend and being far away from my home too. I miss my family members so much! |
| I would realy like to go home while she is unwilling to settle in the city where I was born and grew up. She says that Kunming is far from Zhengzhou and she wants me to be with her in the third city which is near Zhengzhou, at least nearer than from Kunming. |

I miss my hometown, but it is more than 1 year since I got home last National holiday. Since 2001,I am away from my hometown for further education, but in the holiday,I have returned home for family reunion. I ever thought of going back hometown for working, but seems a bit hard to get used to the atmosphere in my hometown.but maybe some time later,I will leave here to be back,my parents expect me to work at home.I am still hesitating...up in the air |
| I am still hesitating too. Sometimes I say to meself that bring my girlfriend home some day later, let her know something about my hometown and the situation there. Kunming is one of the most beautiful cities in China, at least I think so, the wether there is terrific, not too hot in summer and not too cold in winter. If it snows some day, then people there will get one or two days off. I hope she would like the place where I was born. If she insists settling in the other city, it would be the time for to break up! |

Lee,Kunming is known as the City of Spring. If I were you,I would rather stay there,I guess there are many work chances waiting for u... |

Yeah , I agree with you. Although it is a western city, it is developing rapidly, especially after the EXPO in 1999, which made Kunming a huge change. It was said that if there wew no EXPO in 1999, the scence at that time in Kunming would be seen in almost 2009. As a window of China to the Southeast Asia, Kunming is important, and I do believe that there must be lots of chances for me ~~ But, it is too far indeed to the people who live in Central China or East China. |
