A sudden cold snap has pushed winter jackets back into daily use. A laundry owner's advice on which colors to avoid has now gone viral across social media.



武汉一名洗衣店店主直言不讳地建议消费者：在购买羽绒服时，尽量挑选黑色、白色、绿色、粉色、杏色，千万不要买军绿色、酒红色、咖啡色、卡其色，颜色较深的羽绒服饱和度高，稍微沾点水或油，会非常显脏，如果洗不掉就只能压箱底。

A dry-cleaning shop owner in Wuhan, Hubei province urged consumers not to buy down jackets in army green, wine red, coffee or khaki. He said high-saturation dark colors show stains easily, and once oil marks set in, they can be very difficult to remove.

李先生从事洗衣行业多年，每年冬季要处理几千件羽绒服，其中高饱和度颜色的羽绒服是最难清洗的。

“像黑色、白色、杏色这些颜色，洗起来相对轻松。特别是黑色，油污不明显，正常清洗一遍基本就干净了。”李先生说，但军绿、酒红这类颜色则完全不同，水打湿时看不出油污，不知道哪里脏，等晾干后污渍却清晰可见。

Li, who has worked in the laundry industry for many years, handles thousands of down jackets each winter. He noted that lighter or neutral colors such as black, white, pink, green and beige are much easier to clean. He explained that black is the most forgiving because oil stains are barely visible after a standard wash.

However, army green and wine red jackets create a different challenge. Li said stains often disappear when the fabric is wet, which makes it hard to locate dirty spots. Once the jacket dries, the marks reappear and become much more noticeable.



李先生处理羽绒服上的污渍

他坦言，清洗一件羽绒服约花费2个多小时。但他所说的这些颜色，需要额外多花半小时到一小时的时间，还未必能完全还原。这些颜色的羽绒服，除了要先对污渍部位做前处理，大多洗一遍还不够，得洗第二遍，甚至第三遍。

A single down jacket usually takes Li more than two hours to clean. For the difficult colors, he often needs an additional thirty to sixty minutes. Even with extra effort, the jacket may not return to its original look. These items require spot treatment and sometimes two or three full washes.

因耗时长、难度大，不少洗衣店对这类颜色的羽绒服加价，普通羽绒服清洗收费35元一件，但军绿色等颜色可能要加收10到20元。有的店会直接提前告知客户：这几个颜色，可能洗得不会太干净。

Because of the added labor, many laundry shops charge higher fees for these colors. The standard price for cleaning a down jacket is about 35 yuan, but army green or similar colors may cost an extra 10 to 20 yuan. Some shops remind customers in advance that these jackets may not come out perfectly clean.
