The past
Franz Bussman tried to find his brother, Hanz Bussman, who had been lost during the war. He asked everyone he met with and pasted the notice including even a reward. But there were no any information about his brother, which made him have to give up search.
His house had been bombed during an air raid. Franz found it hard to settle down though he moved from place to place and from job to job. He used to rent a small house, do some simple technical jobs to keep his life. During the time he was a cook, he met a girl as a waitress. He fell in love with her and got marriage with her after soon. Anyway, he disliked this job. He was bored with the smell from cooking oil which made him feel disgusted to the food. His wife was always busy in sending coffee, beers and other refreshments to guests. After leaving that canteen, he went into partnership with a friend to ask for a job. Soon, he became a taxi driver. He liked this job that he could enjoy the fresh air and the scene alongside the road when he drove the car. Once visiting his town, he found block of flats where his house used to be. Neighbors in that town saw him with curious eyesight. He realized that it had changed a lot.
Fortunately, he happened to find his brother near the town. He became confident about their future life after the Bussman brothers were reunited.
