Chinese civil servants will face new restrictions when changing jobs as authorities move toprevent them from using official posts to make personal profits.

Those in leadership positions or at the county level and above will not be allowed to work inbusinesses or for-profit organizations related to their previous administration for three yearsafter resignation, or undertake related profitable activities, an official document said.

一份官方文件称，原系领导班子成员的公务员或担任县处级以上职务的公务员，辞去公职后3年内，不得接受与原任职务管辖业务有关的企业或营利性组织的聘任，不得从事与原任职务管辖业务直接相关的营利性活动。

Lower-level civil servants should also abide by the rules, but with a limit of just two years.

县处级以下公务员也需遵守该规定，但时限仅为两年。
