The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh.

You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life to discover the incredible freedom that waits for you just behind it.

Nothing that stood in your way before stands there now in the same way. It’s all new, even if you can’t as yet see it that way.

A: I’ve come to say goodbye.

B: When do you leave?

A: I’m catching the 11:00 train.

B: Take care of yourself and don’t forget to keep in touch.

A: Goodbye. Hope to see you again next year.

Meeting Someone for the first time 初次见面

A：Excuse me,is this seat taken? 对不起，这里有人坐吗？

B：Er...no, go ahead 呃...没有，您请便吧

A：You work upstair,right?I think I have seen you before.I'm Karren,Karren Brown.

你公司在楼上对吧？我好像见过你，我是凯瑞，凯瑞

布朗。

B:Nice to meet you ，Karren.I'm Tim Wang.很高兴认识你Karren,我是Tim Wang。

A:Happy to know you ,Tim.很高兴认识你，Tim。

good reading, well practiced. a few things:

monolog:

* start: the ending 't' could be omitted, but usually it's better to have it if it's not difficult

* greatest power: you read great power

* you've only to test: not clear

* newness: sounds like lunars

dialog 1:

* next year: i didn't hear the 't' in next

* catching: you read cacking

* train: you read chin

* take care of yourself: not clear

dialog 2:

*first time: i didn't hear the 't' in first

*Tim: i heard tem

over all good reading. please improve on the rhythm of the speech. slow down and speed up as you learn from the demo. please get in the reading line on ms. aoi's class and ask her to help you with the 't' sound.
