Cross-border use of RMB up

人民币跨境收付创新高

Last year, cross-border RMB settlement hit a recordhigh of 19.67 trillion yuan, increasing 24.1% year-on-year, according to a report from China's centralbank, the People's Bank of China (PBOC). More than70 central banks and monetary authoritiesworldwide have incorporated the RMB into theirforeign exchange reserves so far, according to thePBOC's 2020 RMB Internationalization Report.

近日，中国人民银行发布《2020年人民币国际化报告》。报告显示，去年人民币跨境收付金额合计19.67万亿元，创历史新高，同比增长24.1%。目前全球已有70多个央行和货币当局将人民币纳入外汇储备。



The central bank promised to steadily push forward RMB internationalization based on marketforces and the orientation of better serving the real economy.

央行承诺，未来将继续以服务实体经济为导向，坚持市场化原则，稳步推进人民币国际化。

"We expect more foreign traders to join crude oil, iron ore and other commodity futurestrading and use the RMB more frequently in real commodity trading. More varieties of RMB-denominated financial products will be provided," it added.

报告指出，发展成熟的期货市场陆续引入境外交易者，原油、铁矿石等实体大宗商品贸易中更多使用人民币计价结算，以人民币计价的金融产品种类进一步扩大。
