Dialog 1:

F: You’ve limited your choices to either commercial bank or investment bank.

M: I definitely don’t want a Joint Venture.

F: I don’t blame you, not at this stage.

M: I probably should check out(查查) a few banks.

F; call and ask for a loan officer.(负责贷款的人员)

A: a cold call.

Dialog 3:

F: start with the people you know, like those at your bank.

m: I’m leaning towards a commercial bank anyway.

F: remember ,banks won’t loan money to people that don’t need it.

M: I think I can interest my bank in financing(funding) my expansion.

F: because you’ve already have a relationship.

m: sure, We ‘re joined at the hip(have a close relationship) . That’s the kind of partner I want now.

F: When you get big, you can have all kinds of relationship.

M: when I get big, I won’t looking for financing, they’ll come to me.

Q:Why does he lean toward a commercial bank?

A: He already has a relationship.
