my friends, i am a worker in IT field, i have worked in this field for almost two years. when i became a new member of our company two years ago. i was a software engineer. After some months, i was sent to Shanghai to implement some project for foreign bank. I have stayed in bank more than one year for my work. in this period, i found that i became interested in financial field. maybe the reason is just because i have not interseted in IT field, especially software development. i don't like software development very much. also, i don't affirm whether i am very interested in financial field. but i think one can get a better future in financial field. you don't need to consider changing your career when you get older.so i want to become a IT supporter of foreign bank. Then maybe i have chance to know more about bank industry. and i would become a worker in financial field more easily. Do you think it is a good idea or not? thanks

I don't know about both fields you mentioned. But I know as long as you're interested in something, you're happy to work on it. And most likely you will be successful.

By the way, software development(软件开发？？？) brings much pressure,doesn't it. I will graduate this year, and I major in automation. May be I will find a job in IT field.But I didn't decide it. I want to know more about it

if you find you don't like software development at present,you should do anything you like most.such as financial field as you said.Maybe in this field you will get a good opportunity .believe yourself,god bless you

yeah, you are right, IT supporter in foreign bank still need to manage IT technique,but it is different from software development.

first: you don't need to know too much about software development technique and skills.

second: you wouldn't have the same pressure as a software engineer.

third: you could get bank industry experience.

forth: you have chance to know about finance and change your job to other department in bank.maybe you would become a worker in financial field in the future.

People say IT develop so fast that it's very hard to keep on with the latest technics. So think about it twice before you make the decision.

If you're young. Don't worry too much about changing your job. You've got a lot of opportunities in the future. As long as you're knowledgable and skillful, finding a decent job is not a problem.
