英国职业与教育研究公司Quacquarelli Symonds（简称QS）于上月发布亚洲最佳200所大学的最新排名。此次排名中内地两所顶尖学府北京大学和清华大学未能进入前十，这也引起中国民众的热议。

The new list of Asia’s top 200 universities was published last month by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK-based career and education company. The rankings have triggered heated discussions among Chinese people, since the mainland’s top two schools – Peking University (PKU) and Tsinghua University – were not in the top 10.

事实上，清华北大并非首次在区域或全球排名中遭遇如此尴尬境地了。在《美国新闻与世界报道》杂志公布的2010年全球高校排名中，北京大学位列第50位，清华则排在56位。进入前100名的内地高校只有清华北大两所。相比之下，37所美国大学进入前100名，10所香港高校中有3所进入前50名。

Actually, this isn’t the first time that the schools have fared poorly in regional or global rankings. The 2010 world university list released by the magazine US News & World Report ranked Peking University at 50th and Tsinghua University at 56th. They were the only two mainland schools in the top 100. Meanwhile, 37 US universities made the top 100 list. And three of 10 Hong Kong universities made the top 50.

they shouldn't score schools, it will make one school more crowded than the other one in result.

Does this school produce people who has mind to think is importantin my opionion.

our schools relied on text book too much, we should make our students think more other than just remember more text book contain.

1)score, schools for students to grasp how much of knowledge, to be a test, nothing more.

2)it is important for school:

Teaching students set up correctly on life, worldview, values, thereby recognized yourself, learn to accept yourself, recognized its social value.

3)Quality education in a big banner, ways and means to do to change.

Experience Western teaching methods, but each era, ideological ways and ideas are different, is to listen to their ideas, and teaching methods in combination.

These questions are difficult for me.

2)I think the best important is composition and academic atmosphere.

3)In my oppinion, we could viewed the matter from the following two aspects. On the one hand, different standards can product diffierent reasult, although our school will not in thetop 10, we don'tget discouraged.On the other hand, we should realized gap between our school andother school. Ranking reaslut is not best significant, it is important that we have experience from the ranking.

whether necessary to score the schools or not is not a question.As a great many similar ranking performances held by some organizations recently，every relative standard illustrates in respective ones.If be involvedin this kind of ---school rankings，and if I were fortunate enough to be the evaluator，I would list the essence of the school likethese：professional quality，study atmosphere ，environment and style，teacher resources（and also their average age） should be into considered，students comprehensive ability... ... etc.

It is not surprisingly that our schools were out of the top ，for it sufficiently proved that

most our schools lack of something I mentioned above.The most graduates cultivated by unniversities have largely been a group ofhigh-score but low-capacity.And not exaggerated speaking ，ithas undoubtlybeen a totally education tragedy in mainland.We have payed a high price for this sort of educational scheme. In a word,it is a question of our educational condition, domestic environment and our country system.
