unlawful: implies lack of conformity with law of any sort: ~ conduct.       （conform有2个意思  1、使一致相似to be similar or the same，如her behavior conforms to/with a pattern她的行为与一种模式一致，如the results conforms to/with the estimates结果与预估一致，如her ideas do not conform to/with mine她的观点与我的不一致   2、遵守服从to obey，如we should conform to/with the rules/regulations遵守规则/规定。两个意思接近不用区分，介词to/with都可以互换。conformist有贬义，表示随大流、循规蹈矩，不愿意尝试不同不寻常事物的人，如a conformist attitude/society随大流的态度/循规蹈矩的社会）
