Hi, I'm Phil from BBC Learning English. 大家好,我是BBC的菲尔。
Today I'm going to tell you how to use too and very.        今天我来教大家Too 和 Very的用法。
They are both intensifiers - but they don't mean the same thing. 这两者都是加强词——但二者意思不同。
We use very to make an adjective, or an adverb stronger. “very”用于增强形容词或动词语气。
So we can say, The building is very old. 所以我们可以说:这栋楼很古老。
That could be a good thing. It's beautiful. 这可能是件好事,使它看起来很漂亮;
Or it could be a bad thing - it's falling down.        也有可能是坏事——容易倒塌。
Or it might not matter. 或者也无关紧要。
If we use too (with two Os), then it means it's a problem. 如果我们用了too(两个O),就表示这是一个问题了。
Could say, It's too easy. 我们可以说:太简单了。
It means 'it's a waste of time'. 言下之意就是“简直就是浪费时间”。
It's a problem! It's not too difficult - in fact, it's very easy. 这会出问题的!这不是很难——实际上,很简单。
Just remember that if we use too, it's a problem.        只要记住,描述问题时才用too.
