Digital Education in the United States In the US, many states and districts have launched online public schools that allow children at all ages to attend school from the comfort of their own homes. Currently, there are an estimated 250,000 students enrolled in online schools across the United States, as well as two million who have taken at least one course online. Advocates of online education believe that this will save money and provide a more tailored and personalized education for students.
