4月28日晚，河南省桐柏县教育体育局发布情况通报：

Local education authorities in Tongbai county, Henan province, have disciplined a primary school teacher for making an inappropriate comment on a student's homework, according to an official statement released on Tuesday evening.

针对媒体报道我县清淮（原城关）四小教师作业批语措辞不当一事，县教体局立即核查处置，现通报如下。

经查，桐柏县清淮（原城关）四小四（4）班教师林某某在学生作业批改中，发现班级一学生字体书写不规范，遂作出措辞不当批语。事情发生后，学校已对涉事教师严肃批评教育，并责令其写出深刻检查。同时，涉事学校及教师林某某向学生家长表示歉意，并上门慰问。

县教体局对该校通报批评，对校长进行约谈。我们将切实加强师德师风建设，杜绝此类问题再发生。

The bureau said the teacher, identified as Lin, wrote an improper remark after finding a fourth-grade student's handwriting unsatisfactory. The school has since taken disciplinary action, required the teacher to submit a written self-criticism, and issued an apology to the student's parents. Teachers have also visited the family in person.

The education bureau further issued a formal criticism of the school and summoned its principal for a meeting, pledging to strengthen professional ethics among teachers and prevent similar incidents.
