Q56: What if I want to get a CET4, CET6 or other governmental English certificates (in China)? Use your mind and think hard, before you jump right into this national tournament, almost a must for every single student: what’s the real purpose of these certificates? What would you expect from your employee if you’re the owner/leader of a foreign owned enterprise, a position might be your ultimate goal? Do you care about his certificates or more towards something else: his spoken English, accent, the way of thinking, communication skill or just that piece of paper? Simply put, strong and healthy English statue shall enable you to pass most certificates easily, with proper help for that specific one. On the other hand, you’ll be disappointed to expect all certificate owners to perform English as it supposed to, with reasons you don’t expect foreign company leaders too ignorant to know. I’m not saying you can get away from this system. You still need that to pass through Personnel Department who’s just fulfilling his duty anyway. You’ve got to do something more in order to be accepted into the realm of expat circle, after you step through the threashold. Go take the healthy way, spend time to beef up your (English) muscle and mold yourself into a shape fitful for foreign enterprises. See Question no. 26 for the benefit you’ll have by doing what suggested there.Do whatever you have to do if the time is limited, just as mentioned in Question 55.[本话题由 musicolor 于 2009-10-21 02:03:40 编辑] |
