你一般怎么准备考试呢？是天天练习，还是临时抱佛脚（leave it all to the last minute）？

今天我们来学习下与考试有关的英语单词和词组。

我们常用take an exam表示“参加考试”，其实还可以用sit an exam，do an exam。“通过考试”是pass an exam，“未通过”就是fail an exam了。

为了能通过考试，我们可能会在课下参加培训班或请家教：take extra lessons/have private tuition/have private coaching。

在考试前，要revise（复习）功课，也就是go over everything you've studied。要是到考前才突击功课就是cram了。

cram就是我们在考前常见的现象“临时抱佛脚”。如：

She crammed for her history exam. 她为应付历史考试而临时抱佛脚。

进入考试了，

有的童鞋可能会cheat/copy/use a crib sheet，这些都是“作弊”的意思。

考试成绩出来了。有的童鞋get a good/high mark得了高分，有的get a bad/low mark得了可怜的分数，有的pass with flying colours也就是pass with high marks，有的只能scrape a pass也就是only just pass，勉强通过考试。
