同学会是许多高中和大学在每年秋天所举行的庆祝活动，在一些小镇上尤为盛行。同学会的庆祝活动通常会持续一个星期，为了庆祝老校友们回归以及新生和他们的朋友、父母的加入，大家在一起举行晚会、舞会以及晚宴。其中最为引人注目的项目之一是给由该校学生所选出的同学会女王加冕。同学会女王乘着车游行，并以此拉开体育比赛的序幕-----一般来说是同学会橄榄球赛。

Homecoming is an event held every fall by many high schools and colleges,especially in small towns.It is a weeklong celebration with parties,dances,and dinners for the old graduates(alumni),as well as for the new students and their friends and parents.One of the outstanding events is the crowning of the homecoming queen,who is chosen by the students of the school.The queen rides in parades and opens the sports event---usually a homecoming football game.
