Hello, I'm David Harper with the BBC News.

Present and former world leaders have addressed ceremonies in Srebrenica to mark 25 years since the massacre of thousands of Muslim men and boys there. Bosnian Serb forces carried out the killings after overrunning an area that was meant to be a UN-guarded safe haven during the civil war in the former Yugoslavia. Here is our Balkans correspondent Guy Delauney.

The numbers may have been limited at the Potocari memorial center, but the messages which came through by video link from dozens of world leaders were powerful. There was a real sense of shame that nothing had been done to prevent the murder of 8000 Bosnian muslim men and boys in 1995, and were powerful words as well from Munira Subasic, the President of the Mothers of Srebrenica Association. She said, I would send a message to those who deny genocide, "you wouldn't succeed". And that was a message to the current mayor of Srebrenica. You won't describe what happened as genocide. That all makes it very difficult for a deeply divided country to find reconciliation.

A TV and film star in Egypt Rania Youssef has posted pictures on Twitter of several men, she says, have sexually harassed her online. Sebastian Usher reports.

On her Twitter account, which has 1.5 million followers, Rania Youssef uploaded the names and pictures of several men, each labelled with the word harasser. No more details appear in the posts, but Rania Youssef has given an interview in which she says that she will bring an official complaint against the man who have, she says, verbally harassed and even threatened her online.

In the past few weeks, the issue of harassment of women in Egypt has gained new urgency, prompted by the case of a young Egyptian man accused by more than 100 women online of sexual abuse.

11 people have drowned in the northern Egyptian city of Alexandria to beach, where the sea is known for his fast moving current. A boy ran into the sea and began to struggle. A man who went in to rescue him was also caught in the waters. Nine others tried to help. All of them died. The beaches in Alexandria currently closed because of coronavirus. Lifeguards are not on duty.

South African police say they've rescued hostages that were being held by gunmen at a church on the outskirts of Johannesburg. With more, here's our Africa regional editor Will Ross.

Photos from the scene showed police officers and soldiers standing over some of the arrested attackers who were lying face down outside the church compound. Nearby are burnt-out cars and dozens of seized weapons, including handguns and assault rifles. It took the police several hours to successfully free the hostages. They are now investigating the five murders. Eyewitnesses say the gunmen are from a splinter group that's trying to take over the leadership of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. Will Ross reporting.

Live from London, you're listening to the latest world news from the BBC.
