国庆外出旅行乘坐的“高铁”、“动车”

用英语该怎么说呢？

High-speed train 高铁；动车

官方翻译：

①高铁是CHSR,全称为China High-speed Railway;

②动车为CRH,全称为China Railway High-speed.

“高铁”和“动车”在外国人眼里都是高速列车

故统称为

High-speed train

例句：

The high-speed trains have drastically [ˈdræstɪkl:ɪ] shortened the travelling time within China.

高速列车大幅度地缩短了在中国境内旅行的时间。

动车组列车也可以说：

bullet train，子弹头列车

（bullet子弹）

大家可能有过这样的经历：赶着回家，但火车却要么晚点要么中途停留，能急skr人。





火车晚点大家就可以用一个很常见的词：delay

delay意思是"耽搁，延迟"，如果表示延迟多长时间，可以在delay 后面加上for,即delay for.



The train is delayed for ten minutes.

火车晚点了10分钟。





中途停留可以用：layover / stopover



On our way to Paris, we had a three hour layover in Amsterdam. 我们在飞往巴黎的途中，在阿姆斯特丹中途停留了三小时。
