一天蟾影映婆娑，

万古谁将此镜磨？

年年到今宵不缺些儿个，

广寒宫好快活，

碧天遥难问姮娥。

我独对清光坐，

闲将白雪歌，

月儿你团圆我却如何?

The fragrant bay dancing in the orb so bright,

Who has polished the moon like a mirror at night?

It’s in the fullest phase tonight year in year out,

How happy in the Moon Palace I wonder about,

Too far away from the goddess of the moon in the sky.

I sit there lonely, pondering why,

Chanting to the goddess, I ask her tonight,

When you wax, with whom can I reunite?
