Police in Britain have identified the three men who went on the wrong page of London Bridge on Saturday night, killing 7 people and injuring about 50. The attackers were shot dead by police after moving down their victims with van and stabbing them random inside pubs and restaurants. Britain’s most senior anti-terrorism officer Mark Crowley said 8 special officers had fired unprecedentedly 50 bullets at the men where were wearing fake suicide belts.
The police have made 12 arrests in east London who are there continuing to search properties. They have also carried out controlled explosions as it emerged that foreign nationals were among those killed. One was French, another Canadian. 36 of those injured are still in hospital with 21 in a critical condition
The American Star Arianna Grande whose show in Manchester was hit by a suicide bomb two weeks ago has backed on stage again in the English city to play a huge benefit concert for victims of the attack along with some of the biggest names in music. Artists have been telling the crowd of some 50,000 people that hatred and fear would not be allowed to win.
In another news, tens of thousands of people have attended a candle-lit vigil in Hong Kong to mark the 28th anniversary of the Tiananmen square massacre in Beijing. Hong Kong is the only place in China where people are allowed to mark the incident.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told a summit of Western African heads of state that strengthening relations with African countries was a priority for Israel. However, the King of Morocco cancelled his plans to attend because Mr. Netanyahu would be there.
And Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina says her government intends to plan mangroves to expand what’s already the world’s largest mangrove forest, the Sundarbans. She said it would help preserve the biodiversity of the Sundarbans and protect UNESCO world heritage site.
