It can used as adv. prep ,as well adj. eg.1、 a painting on the wall (prep) 2、 Switch the radio on.(adv) 3、 Is the gas on? (adj) 煤气开着吗？ The radio's on but it isn't working. (adj) 收音机开着，但不响了。

是介词，副词，还是形容词啊

on 也可以做副词，e.g. put on
