4月22日，国务院台湾事务办公室在北京举行例行新闻发布会，发言人张晗就近期两岸热点问题回答记者提问。

Remarks by young members of a Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) delegation suggesting that Chinese mainland actor Zhang Linghe could help simplify cross-Strait relations reflect Taiwan youths' genuine desire for peaceful ties and cultural exchanges, Zhang Han, spokeswoman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said on Wednesday.

Zhang made the remarks at a regular press conference in response to comments recently shared by Cheng Li-wun, chairwoman of the Chinese Kuomintang party.

According to Cheng, young people accompanying the delegation to the Chinese mainland had asked: "Why make cross-Strait relations so complicated? Just invite mainland actor Zhang Linghe to Taiwan."

张晗表示，近期《逐玉》等大陆电视剧在两岸热播，有关主演因此受到岛内观众关注和喜爱。中国国民党访问团中年轻人的相关言论，表达了台湾青年对两岸影视交流合作和两岸关系和平发展的真诚期盼，生动说明了影视文化交流在拉近两岸同胞心理距离上的独特作用。我们一贯支持两岸影视文化界“双向奔赴”，乐见大陆艺人赴台交流，与岛内民众见面。

The spokeswoman noted that mainland television dramas such as Pursuit of Jade have recently gained popularity in Taiwan, with lead actor Zhang Linghe attracting significant attention and affection from local audiences.

Asked whether Zhang could visit Taiwan for exchange activities, the spokeswoman reaffirmed the mainland's consistent support for two-way exchanges in film, television and culture.

"We would be pleased to see mainland artists travel to Taiwan and engage with the local public," she said.



她指出，两岸同胞同根同源、同文同种，文化共鸣是连接内心最自然的纽带。我们将持续为两岸文化交流合作创造便利条件，支持更多两岸文艺工作者、青年群体常来常往，以文化为桥增进相互了解、促进心灵契合。

She added that people on both sides share common roots, ancestry and a written language, stressing that cultural resonance remains the most natural bond connecting them.

The Chinese mainland will continue to create favorable conditions for cross-Strait cultural exchanges and cooperation, Zhang said, encouraging more frequent interactions between artists and young people to deepen mutual understanding and foster closer ties.
