本人其实还是对于each every 的区别不是很分得清，单独的去理解这两个单词的意思，我知道each是两个或是两个以上的事物中的每一个， every是整体当中的每一个，可是放在句子中如果要译成中文的话。就有点乱了。

就上面的这个句子来说吧如果是each person 译成中文之后的意思是不是？在英国每二到三个人当中就有一个人说着不同的语言？

如果是every person的话，在英国每个人说着不同的语言？因为我在想是整体当中的每一个就是全部的人都说着不同的语言。

不知道我这样去理解each every 的区别是对还是不对的？

1. each着重于个别的“每个”，有“各自”的含义，并不强调整体概念。every着重于全体而不是个别的“每个”，有“整体”的含义，只能是一个整体中的每一个组成部分或单位。

试比较：

Each of them goes to a different factory. 他们各自去了不同的工厂。

Every one of them goes to the same factory. 他们每个人都去了同一个工厂。

2. each可用作形容词，也可用作代词，作代词时可以单独用作主语或宾语(作主语时，后面的谓语动词用单数形式)；every只能用作形容词，它不能单独作代词用，只有在和其它词构成复合代词或与名词连用时，才能用作主语或宾语。如：

Each of us has his merits. 我们每个人都有自己的优点。

Everybody is here and each is doing his own job. 大家都在这儿，各干各的活儿。

3. each一般可用来指可数的固定的人或物中的一个，而every则还可以用来泛指一般的人或物。如：

I know each member of the club. 我认识这个俱乐部的每个成员。

As everybody knows, the earth is round and goes round the sun. 众所周知，地球是圆的而且绕着太阳转。

4. each 和every虽都可用于指某些固定的人或物中的“每个”，但each一般用于指两个或两个以上的人或物中的一个；而every则通常用于指三个或三个以上的人或物中的一个。如：
