You are so lucky for you don't have to learn English. You have no idea how hard it's for most of us to learn English. But I don't want to talk about it now.

Here, I want to find some reasons for you to learn Chinese.

Chinese are everywhere on the globe. You can make friends with them more easier if you can speak Chinese.

Chinese food is very delicious. If you learn Chinese well, you can make Chinese food yourself (read recipe first) or visit your Chinese friends often and have dinner with them (in Chinese it's called 蹭饭).

China is a large country, if you can speak Chinese you can travel here alone, go wherever you want to go.

Can't find more at the moment. I believe others will add some here.

Cheers.

How about this one: more opportunities to get a good job in the future.

hehe, yah, poor u, man.

for my experiences, Chinese is one of the hardest language to learn, especially Cantonese.

I believe ur a CBC then u have to learn Chinese and i guess u can speak some cantonese since most of the chinese in CA speak cantonese instead of mandarin.

So u know, Cantonese got 9 tones i believe, and tons of diff ways of expressing one thing even one sentense. Compare to Chinese, English is more direct to the point. i rather learn english than chinese~ hoho

have fun to learn chinese~ feel free to toss me a pm if u got any questions in Chinese~~

Surprised but glad to find a native speaker here.

Speaking Chinese is much easier than writting Chinese. After 1-2 year, you'll speak good Chinese.

U wanna know our incentives to learn English? The subtitle of this bbs means:" Study English well! Go to the MNCs, and earn the money from the foreigners!" Of course, it is only a joke, joke kinda title.

For you, try to find a Chinese GF or BF maybe a good idea.
