WASHINGTON: A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck western Guatemala on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The USGS said the quake occurred at about 7:30 a.m local time (1330 GMT) and was centered 23 km (14 miles) east of Suchiate in Mexico's Chiapas state and 35 km (21 miles) west of Retalhuleu in Guatemala.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

危地马拉发生5.6级地震

华盛顿：美国地质勘探局（USGS）报告称，危地马拉西部周日发生5.6级地震。

USGS表示，地震发生在当地时间早上7：30（格林威治时间13：30）左右，震中位于墨西哥恰帕斯州苏哈特以东23公里（14英里），危地马拉雷塔卢莱乌以西35公里（21英里）处。

目前尚未收到财产损失和人员伤亡报告。
