先是2001年初全美音乐奖的杰出艺人奖，随后是首届mtvICON荣誉艺人奖，接连而来的至高殊荣让Janet Jackson(珍妮)的倩影在2001年再度闪耀乐坛；随着全新大碟《All For You》的推出，Janet引领着歌迷继续珍爱她的美丽与音乐。
回溯至15年前的Janet，在前两张专辑惨遭滑铁卢下，印证了Jackson家族这个绿荫并不完全能够保证和帮助Janet在歌坛有所成就。一直到《Control》专辑的推出，才让人们体会年方19的Janet正努力蜕变为一个具有独立性格的新女性，与Jimmy Jam&Terry Lewis(后来成为Janet的长期御用制作人)的首度合作则展现了她对音乐制作品质上的强烈企图心。果不其然，Janet所付诸的心血让《Control》的首支单曲《What Have You Done For Me Lately?》成功进占Billboard Hot 100 singles季军，成为Janet第一首排行劲曲，而这支音乐录像带也建立了Janet予人的第一印象——甜美的笑容与俐落的舞蹈。之后《When I Think Of You》为Janet拿下首支冠军曲时，霎时Janet再也不只是Jackson家族的小妹，而是能独当一面、锋芒渐露的畅销女艺人。
选自《Rhythm Nation 1814》的最后一首单曲《Love Will Never Do(Without You)》代表了Janet形象方面的转折点。之前的Janet总是摆脱不了太过“丰腴”的外型，所以常常只能以一身裹得紧紧的黑衣示人。这回在请到名摄影师Herb Ritts掌镜的音乐录像带中，Janet意外地仅着薄衫，大展瘦身成功的轻盈身型，让人们大大惊艳于Janet性感诱人的一面。这支音乐录像带不但助Janet抱走当年MTV年度最佳女歌手音乐录像带奖，也巧妙塑造了Janet的性感形象，自此以后Janet得以从害羞的邻家女孩晋身为新一代的性感女神。
1995年Janet和哥哥Micheal Jackson终于决定携手粉碎彼此感情不和的谣言，在Micheal的精选集《History》中破天荒合唱《Scream 》，更为此曲拍摄出了史上花费最钜的音乐录像带。
蛰伏了一段时间后，Janet于2000年重新回到电影界，与艾迪墨菲搭档演出《肥佬教授 2》；而Janet为电影所演绎的主题曲《Doesn't Really Matter》重返了Janet早期歌曲的欢愉流行色彩，再次为Janet夺下了单曲榜冠军佳绩。
2001年，她推出了深具80年代流行disco风味的全新单曲《All For You》。不出所料，新单曲的佳绩让Janet重振天后封号，光凭点播率就在首周登陆了单曲榜的14名，创下排行历史新页，而在仅仅5周的爬升后更已跃入第一名，让Janet坐上相当具有纪念价值的第十次Billboard singles榜冠军宝座，也为她赢得了第44届格莱美“最佳流行女歌手”、“最佳流行演唱专辑”以及“最佳舞曲”三项大奖的提名！
