《英语口语王》第1部分:第一章 口头一字句a

Sure 可以,当然

sure表示“可以”的意思时,是表示同意对方话语时的用词。此外,它也有“当然,是那样的”的意思。



A: I’m in a hurry. Can I use your bike?

我赶时间。能借给我自行车吗?

B: Sure. Go ahead.

可以,给。

我想,简在选美比赛中能得第一名。

Here 喏,嗨,喂

here在单独使用时,除了“这里”的意思之外,还有“喏,嗨,喂”的意思,作为召唤词使用,以引起对方的注意。

这台电脑有问题。

B: I’ll check it for you. 我为你检查一下。

A: Thanks. 谢谢。

B: Let me see… Here. It works.

让我看看…… 喏,好了,可以使用了。



There 瞧

there除了表示“那里”的意思外,在表达满足、确信、胜利等心情时,也可以使用,相当于中文中的“瞧,看,哦”等语气词。

A: Ouch! I cut my finger. 啊!我切到手指了。

B: There! Just like I said. 瞧!就像我说的那样。

Yeah 对,是的

在口头表达中,人们常常用yeah代替yes。有时候,该词不一定需要翻译,它只是表达一种赞同的语气。

A: Are you better now? 你现在好些了吗?

B: Yeah, much better, thanks. 是的,好多了,谢谢你。

Maybe 也许

在英文表达法中,表示可能性的单词主要有:maybe,perhaps,probably和possibly。它们表示可能性的程度由大到小为:probably,maybe,perhaps,possibly。

B: Maybe. 也许吧。

Amazing 难以置信,不可思议

这是一个表达强烈语气的词,常用于表达惊叹、赞叹之意。该词活跃于现代社会的青年之口,意思也可以翻译为:“太棒了”等等。

A: Tom drove 36 hours without rest.

汤姆连续开了36小时的车,也没有休息。

B: Amazing!真让人难以置信!

当别人取得了胜利、奖励、升迁等等的时候,我们一般都要说:congratulations,以示对他的恭贺。此处值得注意的是,该词应该使用复数形式,表示我们对他的祝贺是越多越好,毫不吝啬。

A: You won! Congratulations!

你赢了!祝贺你!

B: Thank you. 谢谢。

Great 太棒了,太好了

该词是欧美人口头高频使用的单词,只要是同意的、赞成的事物,他们的回答都是great。即便你做事的结果差劲,他们也不吝开口,夸你一字:Great,棒极了。

她终于通过了考试了。

B: Great! 太好了。

Delicious 可口的,美味的

一日三餐,在外吃饭是常有的事情,若是主人亲自下厨摆弄一桌美酒佳肴,请在动筷之前,探鼻轻闻,随口一字:delicious,真是香呀。主人定会大喜若宠,下次再请,指日可待。

Cool 太好了,帅呆了

cool是目前极其流行的超酷一字句。主要活跃于青少年之间,表示对某事的极度赞同,或者羡慕感慨,意思近似于great,good,find,但其语气要强烈的多。

你觉得我新买的衣服怎么样?

B: Cool! 帅呆了!
