Today, here I’d like to talk about “People and Nature”. What is our nature like now?

Trees in the mountains are fewer and fewer.

Water in the rivers is dirtier and dirtier.

Birds in the sky are lonelier and lonelier.

And human beings’ sufferings are greater and greater.

That is the present situation in many parts of the world. And what are we people like now?

We spend more, but have less;

We buy more, but enjoy less;

We write more, but learn less;

We plan more, but accomplish less;

We talk more, but love less

We cannot wait. Nor can we afford to wait until the day when we go to the nature we find what we see is not beautiful landscapes, but only crowds of people, what we hear is not the melodious singing of birds, but the yelling and bargaining from the noisy shops, what we smell is not the fresh mountain air, but the stinking smoke coming out of small dirty restaurants. Back to the city we can find no smiles on people’s faces and no shed on the hard black ground. No! We definitely can’t afford it.

Let’s all love and respect the nature—Tiny streams can combine into a vast ocean; small trees can together be an immense forest. On that day in the air will be the echoes of the clear singing of the happy birds, and for all the living things the whole nature will just be a dreamed paradise.
