pay off sth 还钱与钱有关的最常见的一个短语就是pay off sth(还钱、付清债务等)。例句：I’m hoping to pay off the debt within two years. 我希望两年内能还清债务。

fork out sth 不情愿地花了一大笔钱对于花钱来说，如果你花了一大笔钱，尤其是“不情愿地”花了一大笔钱，可以用一个非正式的短语fork out sth（尤指不情愿地付钱）。例句：I forked out ten quid for/on the ticket.我不情愿地掏了10英镑买票。I couldn't persuade him to fork out for a new one.我无法劝服他花钱再买个新的。
