Clearly there is no perfect parenting strategy, but--from where I sit, a college admissions office--children
are often done a huge disservice by what Gibbs refers to as Anxious Chopper parents. If I had a dollar for
every parent who strode into my office and said, "We are here for our interview," or filled out an interview
form for a child, I would be rich enough to sign my own children up for violin, tennis and Mandarin
lessons. |
