If someone plays with food safety, do you dare to drink these beverages any longer?

Last month,Uni-President Co. and Nongfu Spring, China's leading producer of bottled water and beverages, were declared as containing levels of arsenic higher than the standards stipulated by the Haikou quarantine department, and then the city's bureau of industry and commerce immediately ordered the brands to be taken off the shelves in local markets.

However, that is not the ending of this incident, when the samples of the same batch of drink brands were sent to be retested at the State Quarantine Research Institute in Beijing, the levels of arsenic were confirmed to be within the limit, and therefore safe.

Consumers will not have confidence in these brands, and maybe other products, of the two companies unless there is transparency about the entire incident. It is more dangerous that the incident has caused to the credibility of the local government and the testing centers of quarantine departments.

饮料到底有毒无毒, 从此次反复多变的质检结果中很难找到答案。经历了乳品业“三聚氰胺”的洗礼，似乎人们对于食品安全出问题已经处变不惊,每每出现某种食品登上“毒品”榜,感慨一番“又出事了”,再反省一下自己有没有经常食用,已经算是能表现出来的最大关注了。但品牌果汁饮料忽地被冠以“总砷超标”，如此恐怖的结论如何让人不为之打冷颤? 毕竟氧化砷，就是我们所说的砒霜，一直被认为是能致人死亡的毒药。然而相关质监部门的做法不得不让我们无奈，对于这样事件的处理，从砷含量超标到产品安全，政府部门的公信力就在这种“折腾”之下，被打上一个重重的问号。西方哲学家史里斯?博克说过:“信任是我们必须保护的东西,因为它就像空气和水源一样,一旦受损,我们所居住的社会就会土崩瓦解。” 今日的果汁饮料事件，会否引发果蔬汁饮料不祥命运？
