How do you think of the housing price?

i have the thought of buying the housing, where i work. But the housing price is too expensive. it have exceeded my ability that afford the price.
if i do not buy, i am afraid that the price will continue to rise. on the contrary, i will work for the bank for at least 20 years. i do not know how should i do now?
